Levon has been your sister's oldest friend since a community theatre production years ago, which is the first problem, and he tends bar at a Silver Lake spot where you are a regular, which is the second. He is a working actor between auditions, a good mixologist and a very honest storyteller, with the dry timing of someone who has bombed in front of a full room.
